Christmas Time in America! California - Part 1

After spending a fantastic few days in Arizona with Scott and Rachael, all of us (Piper, Gramma and Papa, me and Paul) hopped on Southwest and took the short (yay for short flights!) flight to CA. Piper slept in Gramma's arms for most of the 2 hour flight. Great little traveler, as always!

Since Gramma and Papa were not able to travel to South Africa for Piper's first birthday, they decided to have a little b-day party for her when we got back to CA. It was another great excuse to get our whole family together!

Trying to grab the candle with Gramma, My aunts and cousins at the pizza parlor, Piper giving love to her pink woof, Piper with Uncle Tim (she's not so sure...)

While Piper stayed and played with Gramma and Papa, Paul and I took advantage of the great weather and went for a hike in Big Basin State Park. Redwoods galore!

Last year we did family pictures in front of the tree at my parents house but Paul was in South Sudan, this year he is in the pictures! Doesn't Piper look happy!

Christmas on my Mom's side is a big deal. We celebrate with the entire family on Christmas Eve. Although I can say with the additions of little ones over the years the celebrations have gotten much tamer.

Top left: Piper, Maddie, Robert and Bayden. Top right: The Alexander Siblings - Becky, Tim, Kathy and Leslie (my mom). Bottom Left: The Kent family - Maddie, Sean, Kim (my cousin), and Bayden. Bottom Right: The Matulich Family - Uncle Bob, Aunt Kathy, Robert and Gregg.

The entire Alexander, Greensides, Matulich Clan (missing cousin Kris and daughter Sophie, and cousin Jason and family)

Piper loved opening the presents! She was also very helpful to Bayden helping him open his presents.

The three cousins!

Part 2 of CA visit coming up soon!

That picture of your dad and Piper both making a face is epic.

Such a lovely time!! I bet your parents are counting down the days to when they see Piper again! And you of course.

These Christmas photos are very nice. I had great time watching these. Xmas day 2017 is also approaching in a few months and I am already very excited for the day because my daughter will tie knot at one of prettiest destination San Francisco event venues on this day.
