Kuala Lumpur

Over Thanksgiving we went with friends to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as an easy escape from Yangon. KL is awesome! Very modern, great roads, great public transportation, great grocery stores, lots of fun kids activities. It was a fantastic mini-holiday!

We were also super surprised that KL was all decked out for Christmas! It was great!

We took the kids to the aquarium and kidzania, which was really fun!

We also visited the Batu Caves, a Hindu holy site on the outskirts of KL. The kids didn't enjoy the 272 steps to get up to the caves, but once we were inside they enjoyed all the monkeys!

No trip to KL is complete without a visit to the Petronas Towers and the water show out front!

We also went up to the sky bridge and the top of the towers for the view, unfortunately a storm blew in right when we were there!

Kuala Lumpur is great! Three hour flight and significantly cheaper than traveling within Myanmar. We'll definitely be back!
