Crazy Days of Summer - Fun with Friends
A good friend of mine from Jordan, Rana, surprised me and showed up in DC for a few hours on her way back from visiting her brother in Chicago. Unfortunately we had very limited time but we managed to make a quick trip down to the National Mall so she could see a couple of the sites. Although it was just a couple of hours it was great to see her and spend time with a good friend!

How wonderful that you were able to spend at least some time with your friend! I really treasure those few moments I get to be together with my long distance friends each year.
