This past Monday, July 9, 2012, was the first anniversary of the independence of the world's newest country, South Sudan.
Paul has been back in Juba, after his 3 week R&R, since early June. We're half way through his 1 year posting, time is passing, but not as quickly as I would like. He'll be coming home again in early September for 1 week and then in Oct/Nov for 5 weeks, hopefully in time for the birth of our little girl!
Since he's been back in Juba he's been swamped with work, but he took a 3-day work adventure out to see some of the work being done that USAID is supporting. Here are a few of the pictures one of his colleagues took.
He also participated in an Independence Day 10k run this past weekend through Juba, which sounds like it was pretty fun. Aside from that he hasn't been out much, he's had a lot of work...
