Cape Town Girls Weekend!

Last weekend I left the family and joined up with my good friend Crystal in Cape Town for a girls weekend! I've known Crystal over 10 years, she is married to another good friend of ours from Peace Corps, Gers (aka Craig). Crystal and her friends/colleagues, Lisa and Sara, all live in Uganda and work for PEPFAR/USAID. They were in Namibia for a conference and decided to take the weekend after the conference to enjoy some time in Cape Town and I was lucky enough to be invited!

With our kiddo's at home we enjoyed a lot of seafood, wine, and relaxing!

Crystal, Sara, and Lisa, enjoying our first seafood meal in Camps Bay!

My first ever mussel (still not sure how I feel about it). Photos by Crystal!

We rented the Bingley Place in Camps Bay again (where we stayed when Paul's family visited). It was fantastic yet again! Can't beat that view!

 The colors were amazing!

As I said, we didn't have the kiddos, so we decided to go to Stellenbosch and do some wine tasting!!! We visited Tokara Wine Estate and Spice Route Wine Estate. Spice Route also had artisan chocolate and charcuterie meats for pairing with the wines. I definitely bought some chocolate!

 Beautiful Stellenbosch!

We hired Oceans Organic again to come to our house and cook us up a fantastic seafood dinner. Once again, it was a fantastic meal! Champagne, white wine, fresh oysters, fresh salads, cheese and crackers, fresh pan fried Yellowtail. Yum Yum Yum!

Serving up the champagne! It's pink!

This was Crystals first visit to Cape Town so we definitely had to go visit the penguins! They did not disappoint! Lots of cute little African penguins, and lots of babies!

It was such a fun weekend! Crystal is soon leaving Uganda and heading to New Zealand! We will definitely be going to visit them there!
