During our visit to Cape Town I arranged a day trip to the wine country. It was a "child friendly" winery tour - meaning a private tour with a driver, going at our own pace, with a visit to the Butterfly Park thrown in. It was great!

The tour guide took us to Stark-Conde winery in Stellenbosch. What a beautiful setting for wine tasting. In the middle of a pond, surrounded by mountains. The wine tasted great, but even if it hadn't, we wouldn't have cared!
After a leisurely visit to Stark-Conde we visited the Butterfly Park. It wasn't just butterflies, but also monkeys, lizards, bats, and guinea pigs. Piper had a great time!
We ate lunch at Dornier, which was delicious, and there was a playground and sand pit for Piper to play on while we ate, then we went to Waterford Estate. Paul and I had been here before, and enjoyed it, so we were happy to return with Rich and Ruby.
After a great day in Stellenbosch, we returned to our house and hung out by the pool for while. It was too cold to swim, but just fine for dipping our toes into.
Sunset at our rental house!
More Cape Town Adventures coming up!
