Cape Town with the Pleva Grandparents - Penguins and Cape Point

Continuing our visit to Cape Town with Rich and Ruby, we spent a day driving down the coast to see the penguins at Boulders Beach and to Cape Point National Park.

It started out as a really foggy morning, but soon cleared up with only pockets of fog along the coast. The fog at Boulders Bay made for some fun, and kind of eerie, pictures of the penguins!

At Cape Point National Park we stopped at the visitor center to explore. Piper had fun playing with all the skulls and bones of the local animals. Down at Cape Point there were hundreds of Chinese tourists all scrambling to take their picture with the sign labeling the southwestern most point of South Africa. They also were lining up to take their pictures with Piper, I guess they thought she was a little South African girl?! (I wish I had gotten a picture of the Chinese tourists taking their selfies with Piper)

Since the point was super crowded and foggy we drove up the coast a bit to another part of the park and found a beautiful beach that was deserted and in the sunshine! What a beautiful day!

More Cape Town Adventures coming up!
